Who are you guys voting for?
I recently saw the updated list, and the voting was ridiculous...it was all sox/yankees in the AL. I don't even think Hamilton was in top 4 OF, Bobby Abreu had more votes.
What does your all-star lineup look like for this season?

When was the last time three Pirates started an All-Star game?
Wouldn't it be hilarious if Bonds won the write-in vote?

Cubs' players are in the top 4 for every position in the NL too. I have no idea how Fukudome is the #2 outfielder

Assuming the MLB all-star game counts international votes, many of those votes are probably coming from Japan, as well as Japanese-American citizens living here. It's like how Yao Ming gets way more votes in the all-star game for the NBA.

That would make sense as to how he's that high.
I never really noticed how much the NL was dominating at every position this year either.

The online voting system is incredibly flawed. It really devalues the meaning of the term "all-star" IMO. It's just a glorified popularity contest skewed towards the teams/players with the largest fan bases. Fans also seem to vote more for career accomplishments rather than best current players which is unfortunate. People tend to argue that it's a game "for the fans" so they should be allowed to vote for who they want to watch play; however, the statment is leaving out an important piece: "for the casual fan".
That said, I'm still going to submit my votes online.

Yep...Kinsler should no doubt be the 2B for the AL, yet Pedroia is destroying him in votes.
Also, I remember seeing Varitek was leading catchers in voting?

As much as I think because we pay to watch our favorite players that we should have the say on who goes ro the ASG. I think the vote should be taken away. It happens in every sport. There are so many players that deserve to go and because they aren't in a big market or as popular they get left behind. Sure the managers can add a few players But many of them should be starters. And even being added there is always somebody left off.
Back in the 60's I seem t remember they had two ASG"s . I think with so many teams they could do something like that again.
I go to a few games a year and I really love the game. But I could really care less if I have the say on who goes.

Dominate is a verb. Dominant is an adjective.
