how do you guys feel about Carlos Carrasco?

Postby Shelton Southpaw » Sun Jun 01, 2008 8:56 pm

How do you guys feel about Carlos Carrasco, the pitching prospect, for the Phillies?

Do you think he is worth picking up as a minor league prosect for a fantasy baseball team?
How would you compare Carlos Carrasco to Adam Miller or Wade Davis?
I currently have Adam Miller on my minor league squad, but with all his injuries, I am starting to lose faith in him?

Please let me know what you guys think and what would you do?

Thanks

I would stick with Miller for now. Carrasco needs to work on his control still.
Jody, Jody Davis. Hits 'em high and far. Jody, Jody Davis. He's a superstar. Holy Cow!!!! http://www.stinkytee.com

Adam Miller just had surgery and will be out until at least late July or early August. Miller has a ton of potential, however it may be time to move on. Carrasco will at least be up in September for a cup of coffee and should get a good shot at the rotation in 2009. I think it may finally be time to cut Miller. I doubt he will make you regret it for more than a month or two a year at most.

I wasn't aware of any surgery Miller has had. Right now, he on the DL with blisters.

Carrasco is underrated...his control is getting better.

Triple-A Buffalo's Adam Miller underwent surgery on the middle finger of his right hand to reattach the flexor tendon to the bone and won't be able to throw for two much.
That pretty much ends his season. Maybe he could make it back in late August, but the minor league season concludes in early September. It's another major disappointment for a right-hander with one of the highest ceilings in the minors.
