well semantically, i wouldn't define the cubs offense as "far superior" to the a's, but i would take it.
either way i think mulder is hands down the better pitcher right now, and all of maddux' baseball acumen won't differentiate 10mph between his fastball and changeup, nor will it break his slider to the outside corner that much more.
you very possibly may be right, but for my money i'd stick with agent mulder.
