I'm sure most people who drafted thbis guy thought that realstically they had the best fantasy catcher in the game. But no home runs and it is now June? This guy just isn't getting it done.

He is hitting close to .300 so its not like he has been awful. I am kinda happy to see it, punishes the idiots who reached for him with this years catcher pool being so deep. I think going into the season that there were a couple elites, but the field of decent starters seemed much larger then in the past.

Major disappointment: Someone who reads these forums drafting a catcher early.

There are only 3 catchers that are playing at or above expectations and they are McCann, Soto, and Molina. The other 27 MLB catchers stink in one way or another. If you can find the diamond in the rough, great for you, but the odds are stacked against you. That's why VMart was so attractive as he is supposedly the one guy who will deliver. What makes VMart a major disappointment is that he has inexplicably not delivered.
It's still not too late for VMart is finish in the top 3 at catcher.

Nothing wrong with picking this guy in say the 3rd round according to pre-season expectations.

Hey, I drafted McCann in the early 60's and I feel pretty good about that decision in all my leagues.

The lack of power is just surprising. He is batting cleanup for the Indians and isn't delivering. It would be one thing if V-Mart is up there at the top of the pack, but not the best. But he isn't even with the pack right now.

Wow- in the early 60's? The kid is only 24! That's a hell of a Keeper League! You must have been scouting his dad or something...

Can you define early? V-mart as compared to the average C is has a better variance when compared to any other positon. Take the best from any other position and compare that player to the average production for that position and you'll see that V-mart is more valuable than you think. Nothing wrong with drafting someone like this "early."
