It's difficult to predict what will happen because there are so many what if's that just need to play out.
If Scherzer's door opens he starts 10-15 games, winning maybe half with very good numbers, but not as good as Marmol's. I don't think there's much of a chance of Scherzer getting saves this year.
At this point I think Marmol has more fantasy value upside because if his door opens he racks up the saves, and his other numbers should top Scherzer's.
In a deeper league, i would take the safer pick in Marmol. In a shallow league I would definitely gamble with Scherzer. A few bad games in a row and Marmol's value in a 10 team redraft plummets. Wood has actually been incredibly well, but his health remains the issue.
It is a 10 man with only 2 reserve spots and Furcal is in one now.
Problem is that whoever I gab, Marmol or Scherzer, They almost have to be starting for me so I figured Marmol might have better numbers right now as an everyday guy.
if Scherzer reverts to starting soon, I am going to kill myself.

Marmol by a long shot. His ratios are sickly amazing, and he is down right legit. He vultures a few saves (like today) and has a lot of innings pitched this year already (with today 36 IP 3 SV 12 BB 54K 1.54 ERA and .74 WHIP), and like I said not many starters have that many k's in about double his innings. (I know I am biased because I have Marmol on my team, and my league counts holds too.)
Marmol will have better ratios but if Scherzer starts to start again, he will pitch more innings which will equal out the difference in ratios. I just look at what happened to Broxton, how one bad game puts his ERA to 4+ and all of a sudden he's hurting you in ERA. Unless it's a Holds league I'd grab Scherzer and hope he starts again.
My concern about Marmol is that he is pitching a ton of innings - I would be worried about breakdown if he keeps up this pace. Plus, it would be surprising if Sherzer isn't put in the rotation by the ASB. RJ is injury prone, Haren has pitched a ton of innings over the past 3 years, and Davis just sucks (I know he is a nice story, but he just aint very good) .. I see Sherzer turning into what Gallardo was last year
