2-3 times a week I look closely at all numbers from all MLB pitchers and sometimes find some awkward numbers.
Enter...Alex Hinshaw, RP Giants. 24 Yrs.
Called up and struck out 9 of first 14 batters faced. No BB and only 1 hit.
He is like #30 or so on the Giants prospect rater so he is not that know.
His 08 AAA Freson #'s are very impresie also, 15.2 IP, 21 K. 4 BB, 5 hits.
Any Giant fans no the lowdown on this dude becasue I rarely see numbers like this unless they are established studs or flat out top notch prospects, and these numbers for them are even rare.

Hinshaw was mentioned in the 2008 Holds thread and I've been tracking him too. This week he has 1.2 IP with 4 Ks and zero ERA and WHIP. He doesn't have any holds though, which limits his value a tad but it can't be long before the Giants insert him into a hold situation, not that they have all that many (another probably hold-limiting factor).
