What's going on with Harang?

A pitcher can have a few off outings and suffer from poor run support (Harang is in the bottom 5 of all pitchers for run support). But when you have been one of the best pitchers in baseball (albeit unsung) for several years, you just cannot be THIS bad. In his last 7 starts he's given up 8, 10, 10, 9, 11, 4 and 10 hits. I don't care what the era, whip, k/9, babip or any other stat is. That is just too many hits given up. Something is not right. I love Harang. I've owned him the last 2 years and the year before that, I was trying to get him. He's a workhorse-strikeout-complete game machine, but something is just not right. Maybe he simply has thrown too many pitches over the last few years. Maybe he needs a trip to the DL. I don't know but I do know that he is almost unstartable right now.

The only thing that has me scratching my head is that he pitched pretty well against the BoSox just two games ago...

His killin my team too, at least he has 90+ K's, that's the only reason Im keeping him. He is a good player, just has some bad luck!

His BABIP against is over .330, indicating that he is possibly a victim of "bad luck", whatever that means.
I might even be a buyer of Harang at this point, especially if he is pain-free.

He has a history of low back pain as well (remember in '07, he struggled with this)...not saying this is what's going on, but it'd be worth looking out for/listening for. I had a reader email me about this, saying how the announcers in Cincy were talking about it. I don't buy it though, since he pitched extremely well recently against the BoSox.

Looking at his next 3 projected starts, Wed 6/25 @ Toronto and home starts on Monday 6/30 vs Pittsburgh and Saturday 7/5 vs the Nationals, I'm really hoping this is where he dials it up.3 winnable games and I'm throwing him out there expecting him to clean up.For all our sakes, let's hope this is the start of a turnaround.
