I own Max Scherzer because I was able to get him on the free agent list in my league. I figured it would be wise to keep him although he doesn't start anymore because of the uncertainty of Randy Johnson's health. It is also a little insurance for also owning Johnson in my league. I know Davis is just recovering form cancer and my hat goes off to him. I have to wonder though , if Davis starts to struggle, being he is the weakest link in their rotation, is their a shot for Scherzer to take his spot and put Davis in the pen. Davis had a bad outing in his last start and Arizona has lost 4 or 5 in a row.Everyone is just assuming that Johnson will be the guy that gets replaced by Scherzer due to an injury . I am probably just having some wishful thinking but it was just a thought.

Davis is definitely the weak link of that rotation. He will have plenty of poor outings and it is highly likely Scherzer replaces him at some point. Therefore I would strongly advise you hang on to him if you have the roster space. Even if he doesn't go back into the rotation he will still give you excellent ratios.
