He's famous for storming out of the gates and then quickly cooling down to merely decent numbers. But this year seems to be his hottest start yet. The splits show he slows down after May but does anyone believe his extra-hot start will carry over for a few extra weeks?
As a known 1st half hitter, he has little to no trade value, especially in small leagues. If I can't trade him, I'll have to drop him. But I'm so reluctant because here it is, the end of May and he's still hitting very well.
How much longer can he keep this going?

2 weeks and 4 days. So on Monday, June 9th you should drop him.

as soon as the Pirates realize they can trade him for someone like, oh, maybe Frank Thomas? Either that or Joe Nobody...

If you really feel the need to drop him, I wouldn't lose much sleep over it. You've already enjoyed his best two months of the season anyways even if he keeps it up for the next few weeks. Outfielders are pretty easily replaceable, especially in the shallower leagues.

He's been injured in the past so if he stays healthy then I could see him putting together a career year. I doubt you can get much for him unless you package him to entice the other owner in a bigger deal.
