It is possible but he has had two separate injuries to deal with already.
Seems very shortsighted to bring him so quickly but then again the Rays were never in the position to compete before either.
Yep. I don't think Price see's anytime this season at the major league level. The Rays still have Niemann to come up into the pen if they need an arm there, or start if one of the starters goes down or sucks it up. Price is a good pitcher and he will make an impact when he is up, but I don't see that being before next ST.

To renew this conversation, I heard Price was being called up in a couple of weeks.

Price didn't begin his 2008 season until late May because of shoulder problems, but he has been nothing short of sensational since. He is 10-0 with a 1.97 ERA in 14 starts between Class A Vero Beach and Double-A Montgomery. In his last start Saturday, Price picked up the win while allowing one run and striking out 10 in seven innings. He is arguably the top pitching prospect in the minors. Fantasy owners are eagerly awaiting his MLB debut and it appears as though it could happen in the coming weeks. Track his news as closely as anyone currently not on an active roster. He can arrive and dominate in all Fantasy leagues in the final weeks of the season.
