i have been argueing with my bro for the past week over this. i would take sweeny over giambi anyday maybe its because i hate the yankees.....let me know what your opinion is

Well if your looking to win based on your dislike for a particular team I would love to play in your league. Giambi is a Fantasy Stud and I am a huge Royals fan and Sweeney although a good fantasty player is not quite at Giambi's level.

Giambi over Sweeney all day long. Giambi is a much better hitter, playing on the best team in baseball as opposed to possibly the worst team in the AL. As much as i hate the Yankees, dont base your picks on your teams, you wont win.

i loath the yankees, but you if your talking skill, its not even close, giambi is a clear cut above sweeny. I'd probably say in almost every drafy giambi goes before sweeny

Giambi is a stud plain and simple. He is first round material in 99% of all drafts.

How many drafts has sweeney been taken 1st round?

It's not even close! Giambi is the #1 first baseman in my book (I take him over Helton - due to the back issues -) & I really feel that Sweeney is the #6 1st baseman and will never match Giambi's power numbers. Now, if this is aquestion about Sweeney over JEREMY Giambi that would have to agree w/ you!

He definitely rakes like an All Star. Take him over Sweeney like your depended on it.

Yeah, gotta give another vote for giambi. i hate the yankees as much as anyone, but ended up with soriano, jeter, and contreras. for fantasy baseball, if you want to be competitive, youve got to take the best player

I agree with everyone that Giambi is the better player, but I have to admire your vitrol towards the Yankees. A few years ago I played in a no Yankees league. It worked like an AL or NL league, but the only team left out was the Yankees. It was a good bit of fun.
