The operative word being IMO.
So Peavy gets hurt. His owner is panicking. He gets an offer for an outfielder who's on fire. No one else in the league even contacts him. And you're going to quash this deal.
So now everyone in the league knows this guy wants to get rid of Peavy. And the one guy who took the time to find that out and get a deal done is the one who will miss out.
Plus, you're looking at Ludwick as an undrafted guy. Look at his stats. He's top 10 in the MLB in homers, RBI, has over 30 runs, 2 steals, and his hitting over .330. 1/4th of the way through the season, an owner should have every right to believe he's for real.
Leave your own evaluations out of it. Peavy got hurt. He's a pitcher. That's always a question mark. There's no guarantee he's back next week.
