Where would you rank Hamilton in keeper leagues? I think he's going to keep this up to some extent so now seems the time to buy as low as possible in a keeper.

Um I don't think right now is a "Buy Low" time

Hamilton is tied for the league lead in avg., leading the majors in rbi (by a substantial amount), and one homer shy of the AL lead in home runs. Who is going to sell that low? You may not be able to buy that at all.

I still think you can buy somewhat low, lower than his actual value moving forward atleast (which should be a 2nd round type of player). You could probably land him if you trade an ace level SP which would still be a decent buy-low for the Hamilton acquiring party. He hasn't really been getting all that much hype since the preseason either which helps.

In a keeper, you could still buy low. I think you're trading for a top 20 player and I think you can get him for lower than that or for an aging star.

I think it's tricky to gauge Hamilton's value even in a redraft. Some managers would be content with dealing him for Cole Hamels when there are some folks who would rather hold out for Brandon Webb or a Johan Santana and I anticipate some will even go the jugular and wouldn't even deal him unless they were getting a top 10 player out of him.

Hamilton won't go on his prorated pace, but if he comes up with a 40 HR, 120-130 RBI, .310 BA season, surely you'd have to squeeze him in the top 20 at least, I'd think.

Considering that this is not a fluke and his past baseball record shows that he's the real thing, I think I'd give up a guy like Ortiz or Soriano for him in a keeper. Depending on the categories I'd probably deal Webb or Santana for him as well but I'd have to think about it since they will be valuable for years to come as well.
