Travis Hafner

Seems Haffey has been compensating for a sore shoulder since spring training. Man just sit him and get him better(therapy, surgery...whatever) this guy is too good of a hitter.

Indians.MLB.com's Anthony Castrovince reports Cleveland Indians DH Travis Hafner (shoulder) was out of the lineup for the fourth time in 10 games Monday, May 26. Hafner is still bothered by soreness in his right shoulder that has lingered since spring training. He and the team have often downplayed the seriousness of the injury.
Just traded BButler, BWood & JLoney for Mark Teixeira, Ryan Theriot & Renyel Pinto in a DYNASTY LEAGUE. Big gamble I know!

Sadly, I just received the following message from indians.com:

The 2008 All-Star Game is in New York, and the only way to
send Indians designated hitter Travis Hafner is to vote him
in as the American League's first baseman. Competition is
tough - Pronk and the rest of the Indians need your help!

I don't see how anyone could think of him as an All-Star this year...sadly...

lol, that is a joke. The Indians organization should be ashamed and embarrassed for even promoting him.

I have him on a couple of my teams. I wonder if it's time to cut him loose?

I already dropped him a couple weeks ago. It made the decision easier that I had David Ortiz. But he hasn't done anything since I dropped him and no one has bothered to pick him up out of free agency because every knows he can't hit any more.

I hope he goes on the DL. I wish they would have done this a month ago when they decided to try to help him out. Rather than give him 3 days a week off, hitting in the 6 hole, just stick him on the DL, let him rest a couple of weeks, FIRE Shelton, and then give Hafner some time to work on his mechanics.

How easy can it be for a guy with a shoulder that hurts when he swings...to fix his swing. I mean the guy is going to swing the way that hurts the least!!

And I own him in 3 leagues. Got Prince and Carlos Pena as well tho in my main league.

Finally to the DL...per rotoworld

Travis Hafner is going on the disabled list because of his sore right shoulder.
Hafner hoped to play tonight, but since he determined he wasn't quite well enough, the Indians felt they had no other choice except to make the move. Shin-Soo Choo will be brought up in his place.

I already did on my yahoo standard 12 teams. I am glad I only have him on one of my teams. If your league is anything like my league, it is time to cut bait. He is useless.
