The guy is one of their best 3 hitters, but he always has him hitting down in the order. That f**king bum Sheffield, who shocker, is on the DL again, was hitting 3rd with his .240 average. He goes down so I'm thinking Guillen goes back to 3 hole. Nope, Polanco goes to 3rd, and Matt fricking Joyce and his .220 average hits 2nd! What am I missing?

Not sure. He could want him there for protection for Cabrera. Then again, I disagree with his placement of Miggy, who should be batting 3rd. Guillen belongs 5 IMO.
I think it should be Maggs 3rd, Cabrera 4th and Guillen 5th. Or alternatively stick Guillen at 2 in the order and let him run more, since he has the speed to get 20 bags and he has a solid OBP b/c of his high average. I agree w/ the poster who said Guillen is there to protect Miggy, but clearly the solution overall is to get Miggy higher in the lineup. If anything, you could bat him 3rd and let Maggs go 4th, since Ordonez is one of those hitters w/ excellent plate discipline who doesn't really need protection.

I have no idea why we have not seen this line-up yet.
hopefully this is what he will go with while Sheff is out...no idea why he shuffled things yesterday (especially after saying before that Granderson and Polanco would always be 1 and 2)
as far as why Sheff was batting 3rd, his OBP was still pretty high, but i am glad to see him on the DL
Before Sheffield came off the DL most recently, Guillen was hitting 3rd for a few games. I guess I can understand the protection factor for Cabrera, but I like:
Granderson, Polanco, Guillen, Ordonez, Cabrera. Of course, maybe I'm just biased for owning Guillen.

MCab really needs to be #3. I'm really irked at Leyland for not putting him there and seeing what happens.
