Yeah I don't think this is showing up the other team. If he's really a legitimate hitter they might as well let him try at some point. Heck Owings is usually the first or second pinch hitter off the bench for the DBacks, but pitchers who hit like him are few and far between. There have been some rumors that he may see some time at DH during interleague play too but only time will tell. That would be awesome. :-)

not sure it is showing up the other team but imo it is showing up your own players. Sweet Lou has used Carlos as a pitchhitter at times this year while still having position players on his bench. I realize you could say well the other team may come back and he may need the player later in the game but that has not been the case when Lou used Carlos. If I was Ward or someother hitter I would be like what? I sure would think that if Joba was used as a DH.

Same here.
One of my first memories of baseball, is Eck and his finger point after striking out a batter.
We could use some more of that now-a-days. ;-D
