It's Joba time! Chamberlain to start Tuesday
It’s official: Joba Chamberlain is now a starting pitcher.

The Yankees announced that Chamberlain would make his first start on Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium against the Blue Jays.

Chamberlain has made three outings since the plan to stretch him out got underway on May 21. He threw two innings (35 pitches) on that night, then threw another two frames (40 pitches) three days later.

His last outing came on Wednesday, as he threw 28 pitches over 1 1/3 innings, then went to the bullpen and threw 27 more, bringing him to 55 total.

Chamberlain is expected to be on a pitch count of 65-70 for his start on Tuesday, which the Yankees are hoping will get them through about five innings.
