My Team - What Needs Improvement?

Postby yanks0826 » Tue May 27, 2008 11:45 am

Hey guys, my team is in my siggy. I am doing pretty good, I am in 6th place in a very competitive 14-team league, roto-style.

The two cats that I am low in are SBs and AVG. But the deals I made recently should improve my AVG and SBs, so we'll see. Do you see any pressing needs, should I deal a closer for a big bat?

Thanks and like always, provide a link and I will help you out!

U could def use atleast one more big bat(Hrs/rbis)

Saying this Im concerned about your SPs. Only 4? And 2 r no guarantee - Lee/Santana.

Id actually try to sell high on Lee(prob cant do that with santana right now). U have a nice in Verlander & haren. but u need atlast 3 solid guys in there too.

so your needs are:
Atleast 1 more HR/RBi guy
More SPs.(Upgrade on Lee/Santana)

Thx as always for your help
Just traded BButler, BWood & JLoney for Mark Teixeira, Ryan Theriot & Renyel Pinto in a DYNASTY LEAGUE. Big gamble I know!

i agree with the previous statement...i would deal a closer for a big bat, and maybe try a 2 for 2 deal involving lee/santana to try and get another pitcher

Thanks guys. I figure I would have Max start soon, well, he should start again this season. As for the power, I agree, I can use another big bat. But when Hawpe comes back, he should be back in form. And I really like Church, he should be pretty solid.

Seems like a pretty good team for a 14 teamer to me (note ive never played anything larger than a 12)

My best suggestion would be to look for an upgrade at 3b. Or 2b (but who doesnt?)

I think your closer situation is fine enough, I know they arnt great lock down guys but its 14 teams.

Your pitching seems fine too

thanks for the help on mine,

i agree with everyone else. i'd just add a big bat if you can, preferably at 3B

if hawpe turns it on he'll be a boost

maybe you can sell high on church
or trade Cliff Lee for hitter and Church for a starter
