I've never watched Eveland, but I like Miller better. He's got the Randy Johnson - 10mph delivery which looks really tough to hit. His breaking stuff is getting better, too. I believe he's considered to have a much higher ceiling.

Yeah, I didn't really answer it in terms of "remainder of the season." You might be right about Eveland being more consistent. I guess it all depends on how quickly Andrew puts it all together.

miller has the higher ceiling, no doubt. eveland is no slouch himself though. i have been starting eveland at home only for a while now and it has done wonders for my ratios in roto. i also don't really think miller's HR/9 is sustainable given his low Gb/Fb%. they both pitch in wonderful parks for pitchers though. if i had to pick one i'd probably go with eveland, but that's probably just because i'm a homer.
Eveland. More consistent, which is nice way of saying that there is not the 25% chance that he will turn in a 1.80 WHIP the rest of the way. Unless we are talking like a 15 team league, both these guys will probably be the last SP for everyone, and the last thing I want is a volatile 5th or 6th starter that has the potential to single-handedly screw up my ratios with a few really bad starts.
I was struggling with the same question just yesterday. I picked Eveland for reasons stated above: he seems solid for a back-end guy plus he pitches well at home. Miller seems to have better upside but could be more erratic. Eveland has also been yanked early when he has control issues and this will tend to limit the damage.
