He's on pace for 100+RBI's so that's no big deal..but come on. We all know that chicks love the long ball, so he can't be getting very much lovin so far in 2008 with only 4 jacks. Is he due for a Corey Hart or Ryan Braun-esque week where he will go from zero back to hero? I don't catch very many Mets games so I never see him play, but right now that whole team is having issues so hopefully he can turn it on soon. I own him in an 8-team league where I'm stacked at outfield beyond belief, so I can sit him without feeling bad until he turns on the heat.

What's the cafe consensus on Carlos?

It's weird. When he's at the plate, it looks like he's thinking about making sure his wife made the last car payment or something... just not very interested.

His OBP is still high, though, and he's a very streaky player in most years so I wouldn't be too concerned as of yet.

He's playing just like most (better than most actually) of the Mets right now.

Whole team is scuffling, though Beltran's recent numbers aren't bad outside of the HR outage. Still, he's capable of going off big over short stretches. Hold or deal for value, but don't sell low. His numbers will be there in the end.

I just traded CC for him today so he should hit like its the playoffs in Houton while I wont get the stats yet
