And is being returned via UPS. It should arrive within the next week. Thank you for choosing NYMets Inc., and we apologize for any inconvenience that resulted from the product we originally shipped you.
Seriously though, is anyone still optimistic about the once-legendary Pedro?

Drafted him at 10.01 in a 16 man league, 145th overall and thought that was pretty neat. He's occupied one of my three DL slots ever since and, to be honest, I have little faith he will bring me anything other than the occasional W due to the Mets potentially potent offense.
We shall see.....maybe.

Given that last year he returned from rotator cuff surgery and pitched 28 innings, 32Ks, 2.57 ERA and 1.42 WHIP, there is hope.

I do think he will provide decent fantasy production because despite the loss of his stuff, he is one of the best pure pitchers in baseball outside of Greg Maddux. He KNOWS how to get outs, and he will pitch well, especially at home.
Granted - he has to stay healthy, which is the biggest concern.

Yeah he still has enough skill to K about a batter per inning, which means despite his lack of velocity his "stuff" is actually quite good. I'm just worried about a) his health and b) his stamina. He was already a 6 IP kind of guy before this injury, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Mets use him like Orlando Hernandez last season, where he basically tosses 5 innings and then hits the showers.
