This guy has been in an aweful slump, hitting just .212 with 5 HR and 23 RBI. On top of that, he's been bothered by a sore right hand for some time now. It was only a few weeks ago that Konerko blamed his batting woes on mechanical errors and lack of confidence. I think the true source of his subpar year is this apparent hand injury....I own Konerko and am worried by this situation. Should I dump him for someone else more capable, or cling to the belief that he will produce the sort of numbers he has in past years?

I do know that for years now Konerko has repeatedly gotten off to a horrendous start, and usually comes around to being an above average player. But I was sick enough of this that I went into my drafts with the plan to let someone else draft him, then to trade for him about... well, probably about now. And yet when the dust cleared, I have Konerko in both of my leagues that I really care about. And yes, he's driving me nuts, like he does every year.

Yeah that was a good idea. I was watching him during spring training, though, and he was really tearing it up. Thus I thought this year would be different.
