the diffrence in this league which would require a diffrent strategy is that their are daily roster changes and a 2000 inning limit for pitchers- how do you deal the pitchers? how many of what type (closers, starters, setup guys) do you keep on you bench?
2000 is a lot of innings... How many active pitcher slots do you use?
I'd say the main change here is that you'll want to keep a large number of pitchers on your bench (Both SP and RP) in order to reach that limit, even if it means having very little hitting depth.
I figure most teams in the league will have a tough time coming close to that limit. You need nearly 10 healthy SP's for the entire season. Those teams that do reach the limit will likely wreck their ERA and WHIP in the process while killing their bench flexibility.
There really is no way any one team will dominate the pitching categories unless you spend your first 10 picks on pitchers.
The way I would approach the league would be to focus on hitters and closers. Make sure I damn near win 6 of the categories. For SP's, I would get 4-5 sleepers in the late rounds. They don't have to be too good, just reliable guys. Then spot-start a pitcher from FA everyday so I would reach the innings limit. The goal is to finish in the middle of the pack for Wins and K's. And since no one is going to dominate the pitching categories, this strategy should give me enough points to eek out a victory.

and 2000 innings, with daily transactions ...
Sound like the commish had a little strategy set up for himself, when he set up this league.
I wouldn't think twice about carrying 15 pitchers in this envionment.
Just target guys with a k/9 over 6.00. Maybe even 5 or 6 closers too. You should be able to get some of them off the wire as the season progress'.
