According to Rocky Mountain News:

Garrett Atkins said his stiff neck felt much better. He was scratched from the lineup Saturday and didn't play yesterday but was taking ground balls during batting practice and doing some baseball-related activities before tonight's game. Manager Clint Hurdle said if Atkins suffered no spasms he might be available to pinch hit tonight and could return to the lineup tomorrow.

That's encouraging. You have to think they would want to avoid putting him on the DL regardless of how hurt he is. Their lineup has been terrible the last few days.

Atkins is really struggling since returning from his injury. 1-18? Has anyone watched his at-bats? With trade rumours swirling I've been starting to seriously think about moving him.

May is usually Atkins' worst month historically but he did pretty well this year. If you guys believe in the law of averages, it means he will have a atrocious month eventually. Atkins is in one of my leagues and seeing him go 0 for 5 two games in a row is pretty disappointing.
