i just did a projections and had the same question. I don't know what it means, but I did my league projections (which gave some surprising results) with a couple of hitting/pitching splits and the results were similar. Only some changes in dollar values, but not really affecting the rank of each player. My league is head to head, so the dollar values are really just an indicator.
My question is how much credence should I give rototimes projections?

It means amount of mony spent on pitching/hitting
$260 salary cap 170/90 split means $170 hitting $90 on pitching

Rototimes projections look pretty good across the board for the established players. Very conservative, not really picking that many players to step up and overtake jobs from underachievers. The one place they overproject players at is in stolen bases.
Another Year, Another Championship. I'm 2 for 2.
