Has the disposable one reached a must-pick-up-status with his six innings of perfect game and seven innings of no hit c**k slapping of Boston's World Series line up? Or am I just an immature young lad who happens to think his name is the bee's knees?
He was VERY good today, giving up just the 1 hit to Papi in the 7th. With just over 100 pitches thrown and a decent lead, I figured they would have at least let him pitch until he put a guy on. I did not get to watch the game, but I closely followed the progress on sportsline for much of the game.
I think he is ownable in all but the shallowest of leagues at this point personally
He said he had his best stuff tonight. He also said Jamie Kennedy was at the game, the late Joe Kennedy's wife, and he spoke with her before the game. It fired him up and he wanted to make it a special night and dedicated the game to Joe. Good stuff. He tried to convince Geren to let him go out for the ninth but was told no way. He was over 100 pitches and has an injury history so they wanted to play it safe.
This guy is a control freak in a pitcher's park. Last year he only logged 16 plus innings, but in 06 he had a K/BB ratio better than 5.5. The K numbers should only be league average or slightly below, but I think he's a solid investment right now. Between him and Weaver, I finally got some good pitching tonight.
As someone who drafted Justin, let me say welcome to the party. Granted, he only has 7 starts, but an ERA under 3 is mighty juicy. My only concern is that he hits fatigue a few weeks after the ASB; play him now and trade him later.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.
If we can agree to call him J-Duche then I will pick him up.

Wanted him in my league, but missed out on him by a round. The signs were there for a breakout. Could get hurt at anytime, but while he is healthy I think he will put up numbers that are very useful.
