I'm in relatively good shape in SS in all of my leagues, even though I have feast-or-famine Jhonny Peralta in one of them.

When Tulowitzki hit the DL, I had Theriot as a spare. Not a massive loss there, I'd say.

As for Stephen Drew, I've been quite high on him heading into this year, thought he'd make a Troy Tulowitzki 2007 ascension, even. I have him in a dynasty league by dealing Tom Gorzelanny for him in the offseason and while I don't start him because of my offense being jam-packed (Reyes is at short), I like his production, as it's above-average for what you can call a 3rd tier SS (your Peraltas, your Greenes, your Orlando Cabreras) and he's in a good spot hitting in the 2-hole for Arizona.

I drafted O-Cabrera in all 3 of my leagues and I'm hoping he gets injured soon so I can put him on the DL and pick up Luis Rivas.

a couple of serviceable guys for those in need:

Maicer Izturis - contact hitter, BA should pick up. can steal some bags and currently leading off for the Halos due to injuries

Jerry Hairston - showing some good speed recently.

Both guys just got SS elgibility in ESPN leagues

JJ Hardy looks to finally be out of the 7 hole (in front of the Brewer pitcher) and has been batting 6th alot with the occasional start behind Weeks. Seeing different pitches may help him, though it hasn't proven to have any real effect on him so far.

Just keeping my eye on him since I drafted him way too early and dropped him after week 4.

In two of my deeper leagues I drafted Y. Escobar...in one as a backup to Tulo...in the other to backup Tejada...I feel very fortunate to have him in both leagues, since he's filled in nicely for Tulo in the one and been my starting MI in the other.

In my third league I drafted Renteria and was able to add Theriot, so it's worked out ok in all cases...

Drafted Peralta late, dropped him for Guzman. Dropped Guzman for Aybar. Dropped Aybar for.... Peralta. Keeping an eye on Hardy and Guzman, both on FA. I knew by the way my draft went I'd end up with issues at SS.

I drafted Jeter in most my leagues because of his consistency. He got injured early and I was worried, but he's playing pretty good this year. I don't have a back up shortstop so I'm crossing my fingers that he stays healthy all season.
