...well not quite, but you get the idea. Wonder how that guy feels. Even more, I wonder how the guys on the other team feel when they'd rather take ten bats than one of them haha.

McALLEN, Texas - During three years in the low minors, John Odom never really made a name for himself.
That sure changed this week -- he's the guy who was traded for a bunch of bats.

They couldn't get the kid into Canada, so he was basically a loss to them. Why not get $655 worth of bats out of the deal.

I heard a story once that a minor league team traded a player for a few packs of beer. I thought that was pretty funny.
This is nothing more than a publicity stunt. I feel kind of bad for the player.

I think the Braves got Kerry Lightenberg from an independent league team for something like 6 dozen baseballs and two dozen bats.
