it's incredible even, and his pitching almost put him over the top, but your offense is slightly better, and you have more qualitly starters, but he has less pitchers but they are much better, but i like your staff because of the number of solid starts you have versus the small number of great starts he has

i agree with what the rest have said, your offense is better and his pitching is better, but i would say your offense out does his more than his pitching out does yours. i give the edge to your team

I would agree that you come out ahead in the offensive side for sure, with a slight edge on pitching to him (though you've got the Baconator!)
On a related note, I'm curious how you managed to get both Scherzer and Kershaw? That's quite a coup. Kershaw's just coming on Waivers on Yahoo and I've put in for him based on your suggestion [thanks btw!], though I'm third on waiver priority. I see you've also got Homer Bailey - would you recommend picking him up if Kershaw goes to one of the other two?

Thanks for the response and advice! I didn't get Kershaw, but dropped Olson in favour of Jered Weaver.
I agree with you about not benching Wright anymore - I haven't played Encarnacion in weeks. I'm taking the same approach with Wright now as I did with Big Papi - put him in and take the occasional hit during a slump to make sure you don't miss the breakout performances.

So Bailey > Embree - I'm going to give that some serious thought today and make a decision. Thanks again for the advice.

I like your Team Better but his pitching does make it a little close

I would take your team. For the most part, your hitters look better. He has better pitchers but you have more pitching depth.

I just dropped Homer Bailey and picked up Chris R. Young. Does this help me make up some ground on his pitching staff? With Bailey struggling in the minors and Young on the DL, I figured if Bailey got called up he would not do me any good on the bench and by the time he figured himself out Young should be back from the DL. I think Young will be the better pitcher of the two for this season and would help me out in Ks, WHIP and ERA.
