I have the chance to grab Konerko off of waivers. Should I pick him up and drop Pena?

So far they have very simalar numbers. Konerko has a more proven track record but his injury is a concern.

Anyone have any ideas of who will perform better for the rest of the season?

Categories are R, H, 2B, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OPS

Who knows. I have Konerko in a bunch of leagues (most, actually), and he's been hurting. He does this every year though.

C. Pena -- he could potentially blow up at any point. I would not drop Pena for Konerko. I might drop someone else for Konerko, but not Pena.

I would take Pena and those 46 HRs last season.

I would definitely take Konerko for his monster second half stats that he will be putting up and not Ryan Howard super-lite(Carlos Pena).

Yeah I'm a fan of Konerko but he has just been looking dead-lost at the plate.

I have a feeling that the recent bruise in his hand has really gotten in to him mentally. He doesn't look like the same guy that hit back-to-back 40 home runs right now.

Paulie has been killing me, but I think in roto especially that you have to wait him out...

thanks guys, I guess this is a toss up. I think I'll stick it out with Pena.

I'd go with Pena here. The power pace is there, but the .280 average is likely to hover around the .240-250 area, as I've noticed he's either striking out or popping up, really making him more hit-and-miss as usual. I still say he turns in a 35 HR, 100-110 RBI season though.
