He was number one on the list posted in the above post.

Additionally, Howard has struck out in 40% of his at bats so far this season. So, excluding his HRs, he has to have a BABIP of .500 just to hit .300 on the season from here on out... and he's not that fast.
We'll check out this thread at the end of the season; see who has broke the PHAIL-O-Meter.
0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.

How about a bet?
If Youkilis ends up being better than Howard, I'll sport a Avvie/Sig of your choosing, if Howard ends up better, you'll sport and Avvie sig of my choosing.
as I am at work, don't have time to go through this with a fine tooth comb, but I have a really hard time not taking hanley and wright at the top two spots.
As for the Howard guy? I see the stats. You can't cherry pick for the first not even third of a season, and ignore the fact that he has 22 hrs in half a season, breaks 50, has a down year where he only gets 46, and is at 12 already, so he is trending for 40 again. Now, its clear he isn't a .300 hitter now, so holding him to that standard isn't fair. He breaks .260 again or gets above, then its kind of irrelevant. Youkilis is fairly ridiculous.
If Youkilis ends up being better than Howard, I'll sport a Avvie/Sig of your choosing, if Howard ends up better, you'll sport and Avvie sig of my choosing.
Deal?
I'll do a sig bet with you for the first month of 2009 season. I don't do avatars.
Also note I'm not saying that Youkilis is a top-25 player (although as I said, he's closer than people think)... I just think that Howard isn't this year, either, and Youkilis will have a better year.
So are we counting stats to date? Or from here forward? Also, where do we get weightings? Because 130 points in average is a much bigger deal than say 5 HRs.

Who's cherry picking? Everyone knows Howard's history. I posted all the stats to date that most people care about.
Even if Howard does hit 45 HRs, if Youkilis hits 32 with similar Runs and RBIs, a handful of more steals, and 70 points better in AVG, Youkilis is the more valuable player.

Season wide, we'll review the stat line as a whole for a standard 5x5 H2H league.
