I think it was somewhat justified, given that Pujols had elbow problems before, but he had gone on record saying some really discouraging comments about how affected he would've been with the elbow.

See, I didn't think it was justified because he's been playing with it and he came out later to say that it was overblown.

we're early on still. His elbow will start barking louder later on.

Basically the question then will be whether or not the team has continued to find success. If they're still winning, he'll play through it (heck, if they were winning I think he'd try to play through broken bones, hemophilia, and decapitation). If they've fallen out of it, he may opt for the surgery. That's really what his preseason comments amounted to.

So the early good start by the Cards is a good sign he'll probably play most of the year.

There is just way too much bad info and news about player injuries in baseball. Pujols's elbow was completely overblown, sending everyone into a panic preseason, with some people claiming they wouldn't touch him this year.

Exactly. I remember a thread here in March where people were relegating him to the third round.

He's going to win my league for me if the elbow holds. 10 teamer roto and I got Arod and Pujols. It was like X-mas in March. I'd take that kind of misinformation every year.
