I was watching durring my gig, he hit a hard liner off Chris Youngs forehead. I hear facial lascerations and a broken nasal cavity.
then in the same inning Josh Bard partially blocks the plate or trys to tag him or something and he rolls he ankle around backward. I heard a broken leg from one of the guys at the bar.

right now I give it a 16% chance of becoming an issue this year.
I was going to say 17.3%, so we're pretty close.
Seriously though, he has torn ligaments in his elbow, so yeah, there's a reason it could be an issue. However, it's the same injury he's had for years now, and it hasn't gotten any worse, just more attention.
I think the worst time to have a heart attack is during a game of charades...or a game of fake heart attack.
There is just way too much bad info and news about player injuries in baseball. Pujols's elbow was completely overblown, sending everyone into a panic preseason, with some people claiming they wouldn't touch him this year.

I agree with Yoda. From what I understand, there were some random comments that were taken WAY out of context and blown WAY out of proportion. Everyone wants to make a story out of nothing, we are a drama crazed and drama starved society. Worked out fine for me, though, I got Pujols at a major bargain price in our auction. He went for HALF the price that his owner paid for him last year under the same system.

The way he's played through 2 months - no I don't think I'd worry too much about his injury now. I still think it was wise to avoid him in the early-to-mid 1st round back in March. Right now I'd feel comfortable picking him after Hanley and probably Arod.

I think it was somewhat justified, given that Pujols had elbow problems before, but he had gone on record saying some really discouraging comments about how affected he would've been with the elbow. Thankfully, the extent of the injury would be aggravated more by throwing than it is with batting and thankfully, last night's injury is being called as a sprained ankle, methinks.
I wouldn't have gone as far to say I wouldn't draft him this year, but I'd gladly would've taken Pujols with the late 1st round picks I had in this year's drafts. Unfortunately, he was taken one pick before me each time.
