I thought this guy would fade away after a pretty good start but he has nto been by any means. What kind of potential does he have for one whole season? 290 25 hrs 90 rbis?

I wouldnt expect more than 20 HR, hes not a HR power guy. .280 average, .800 ops, 15-20 HR, 40-50 doubles is more what i would expect. and maybe 8-10 steals.
i think his fantasy value depends on his lineup spot. in the fifth spot behind hamilton and bradley hes in a good spot for rbis that makes him relevant.
as a ranger fan i love the guy though. good defense, does a little bit of everything.

If your league counts doubles as a stat, this guy is gold.

I don't own Murphy in any leagues, but it seems as though he could be a good source of RBI's given the spot he hits in a potent Rangers lineup. I could see him driving in 90 runs with 10-15 hr's and 10-15 sbs.

it just occurred to me that with hank blalock coming back tomorrow murph will probably be slotted down to 6th.
there are certainly worse places to hit than behind hamilton-bradley-blalock, but its going to take some chances away.

You think Ibanez is droppable for him? Ive been on the fence about him for a bit.

I'd stick with Ibanez, he has a longer track record of finishing w/ 280-20/25 HR-90 RBI. That's more like David Murphy's ceiling.

This is precisely why I just added him.
I certainly hope Murphy can stay in the 5-spot, but he will most likely drop to 6th :(.
