I'm gonna watch for another game or two and see... I'm not too confident he still has the 30 HR potential anymore but his warm homecoming to Oaktown as well as the no pressure situations might prove to be the x factor here.
I drafted him for spot starts against lefties. He went 1/21 with 0 rbis. Then the Blue Jays dropped him so I did the same. BronxBombers picked him up and has only started him twice, but Big Hurt goes 6/7, 2 HR, 5 rbis for him? HUH@!?!?

I was at the A's-Rays game Tuesday night, where Thomas went one fer with a 9th inning HR. Kazmir was pitching for every one of Thomas' ABs except the last one and Thomas couldn't touch him. He was behind every pitch, and I'm pretty sure he struck out every time. However, when Percival came in to close, Thomas jacked a full count pitch over the left field wall.
He had a multi-HR night on Monday, so he's clearly not washed up, but it looks like you're going to have to take the 3 Ks along with the HR with Thomas this season.
