Just wanted to hear others opinions on how Matsui will do in MLB. Also would you trade Randy Johnson and Alfonzo for Hudson and Glaus. It's a 15 team keeper league...I need the upgrade with more offense. Do you think the difference between the 3b are greater than the sp?

Matsui is Paul Oneill in his prime, 290 avg 25-30 hrs 90-100 rbis

Other interesting stuff included 6 straight years over .300, 4 straight years over 100 RBI, and ended his career with 5 straight years of double digit steals (incl 22 in his final year WTF?!) after having ZERO in a full 1996 season.

His best year might have been the strike-shortened 1994 campaign where thru only 368 ab's he had:

.359 avg
.460 OBP !!!!!!!!!
21 HR
83 RBI
68 R
5 SB

Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't do that deal. You lose too much in stepping down from RJ to Hudson. If this is the last year you have rights to RJ, or something, then maybe. But otherwise, no.

Being in a line-up with Giambi,Jeter,Williams,Posada, and Soriano will likly benefit him..not sure how he would fare on a team like the Royals or Tigers...but I don't think he would see as many good pitches being on another club.
