Which of these guys will help my team more? I need a 4th closer behing Izzy, Nathan, Graves. Are any worth the #3 waiver priority I have now??

None are worth your waiver priority now, and i dont think they will get many saves. Valverde may have the best shot to get saves, since Mantei is injury proned. Valverde is the guy i would recommend, but he should still be a FA after his waiver time is up, so i would wait.

JB is right - don't use a waiver pick on them. Valverde may be worth a FA pickup, depending on who you'd drop. He won't get any saves until Mantei gets injured or traded. Long term, Valverde is the best value.

Riske may be a better bet for getting saves. He's probably the best FA pick right now. If Wickman can't hack it during ST then Riske will be the Indians closer. Again, not worth a waiver pickup, but I'd try and get him on the roster.

Lidge will not close this year unless Dotel blows it. That is unlikely to happen. Dotel should excel as closer. That doesn't mean Lidge isn't worth having on your team - check out Dotel's numbers from the last few years. Solid MRs who get decent IP can be really helpful on a roto team. Less so on H2H squads.

I'm glad someone else shares my theory. There are a couple of Dotels or Motas every year that can really help you out in a roto league. These guys will give you a fantastic WHIP and ERA and on a per inning pitched basis, more wins and Ks than all but the best starters.

Once Wickman looses his job, Riske will take over at closer and be very good
