"Punting" is a lot different than being within 10 or so of the middle of the pack.
Punting guarantees you 1 point in that category, as well as probably killing your Ks in the process having no starters.
Focusing on getting near the middle of the pack (rather than looking at as how far back from the leader you are) makes it seem a lot easier to get 5 or 6 points in that category.
Take a look at the innings-pitched as well. In my league the leader in Wins (with 37) has already used up half his innings for the season. By the end of the year he'll be lucky to have 70. You may only be on pace for 50-60 Wins, but just by staying steady you've probably got a decent chance of running down several players in front of you.
