Matt LaPorta alert... he's raking at AA.
In 44 games and 161 AB's he's got 35 runs 11 HR's 39 RBI's and his BA/SLG/OPS are .304/.602/1.018. How's he taking to the OF so far? Oh and his BB/K is exceptional at 26/28. Is he on the fast track if he takes to fielding his new position well? Any ETA's? I can't imagine if he keeps hitting at this clip there won't be a nice hype machine rolling around him soon. Thanks for any info or guesses in advance.

i really like this kid but there just isn't any room in the milwaukee outfield for him right now. the future projected plan is to move hart over to center and laporta would take with braun obviously in left. i highly doubt they would move braun back to 3B for him. the only way i see laporta up is if there is an injury (knock on wood) or cameron/gwynn jr. go into major slumps, but i mean major slumps. but i can't see them holding this kid back when he is hitting the ball so well right now...many have said he is trade bait toward the trading deadline. i guess we'll just have to wait to find out his ETA.
