What are everyones thoughts on him or what have you read about him?? Doubt he will return to Cy Young form but if he keeps a decent ERA and decent strikeouts he may be worth a spot on teams in deeper leagues. I have him in a 20 team league and am pretty excited to get him back...

I read something about Schmidt yesterday or earlier today, I think somewhere on ESPN. At any rate the main thing I remember is when asked, Schmidt said not to ask him about his velocity. I'm thinking that's not a good sign, but he's still got at least several weeks of rehab ahead of him, maybe it will improve.

May 19 RHP Jason Schmidt made his second rehab start for Inland Empire on Saturday, throwing 34 pitches in a 2 1/3-inning outing in which he gave up no runs on one hit with one walk and three strikeouts. His fastball topped out at 93 mph. Schmidt is slated to make another start for Inland Empire this weekend.

Schmidt is my current DL stashee. Basically I'm not expecting anything from him and will take anything as a gift. To hear that his fastball is up to 93 MPH certainly warrants skeptic optimism...
