is Andre Agassi a top 5 SS?

Postby Greenrider » Fri Feb 27, 2004 6:42 am

I'm wondering whether to take a gamble on him in the early rounds - I know he's got the hands, but I'm a bit concerned about the power production. Also, the Sox sabermetricians in the front office probably will cut 10-15 SBs off his total.

What do you guys think - take him before or after Renteria?

Have you seen the size of his skull? That and the balding, I am sure he is 'juiced'. I'd stay away, as his body should be breaking down at any time. I would pick Royce Clayton here, if I were you. ;-D

Im not usually one to sing the praises of nike commercials, but when Lance threw down the combo 1-2 - I realized this was a pretty cool ad.

Mr. Snappy (Randy Johnson) bowling against PDW was great. You'd think he'd have more sideways delivery though... Or, even better, the Mr. Snappy bowling ball off the back of his hand! ;-D

Agassi looked good . . . reminded me a lot of Bill Mueller.
Roger Angell: I was talking with Bob Gibson and I said: 'Are you always this competitive?' He said: 'Oh, I think so. I got a three-year old daughter, and I've played about 500 games of tic-tac-toe with her and she hasn't beat me yet.'
