Peavy to miss next start with elbow trouble

Baseball Tonight just said 15 day DL...Im going to try and trade Peavy as soon as he returns unless the Padres sign people who know how to hit baseballs in the meantime.

Thats a bunch of BS, theres no way he feels better in after one day off. After feeling pain from 3-4 starts.

I don't think they meant to put it as "he's feeling better" physically, but more of being relieved that there is no structural damage.

Elbow soreness for a pitcher who relies heavily on his slider.....usually smells bad. (1+1 = Tommy John)

From the report on the SD website, it appears that the injury is not to the tendon, but to the muscle. "On Monday, Peavy had an MRI that revealed swelling and strained muscles in his right elbow." If the tendon is not damaged, there will be no surgery.

Phew!!! Hopefully he misses at most 3 weeks, activated from the DL, and goes back to normal Peavy form.

May God be with you Peavy owners and if I owned him, I would offer him to a first place team and try to convince him/her that they can afford to wait for Peavy but you cannot and go for a $20 buy low Sp with upside.

traded peavy for d lee/cueto about 2 weeks ago...... really glad i did it now... i was kind of pissed about the move after i did it, but looks like it payed off in the long run

what's Peavy's current trade value right now? I've been trying to get him all year by giving up Ryan Howard but his owner doesnt seem to like it... I'd expect Howard for Peavy straight up to be too much since Peavy is on the DL right now...

Peavy > Howard right now; one 15-day DL stint is not as bad as 7 weeks of being sucky.
