Okajima has a sore wrist. Have not heard about this and explains why he was not out there the last few days. From KFFl

The Associated Press reports Boston Red Sox manager Terry Francona said RP Hideki Okajima (wrist) has been bothered by a sore wrist.

Yeah, that notification didn't appear on Yahoo until between the two games of the doubleheader yesterday. Kinda damages my hold prospects, a cat I lead 3-2 this week. Hope he's back very soon.

Any updates here?

Everything I've read says he's good to go for this week and was only really held out on Saturday. I heard that he was available for yesterday's game, but Francona preferred to give him another day off.

I have to make a line-up decision for a weekly league. Okajima vs. Devine. I would prefer to use Okajima since they have 7 games and more favorable match-ups.

Me too... worst thing was Francona said he was available all weekend, they just didn't want to push the envelope...

good news:

Hideki Okajima (wrist) was cleared by Red Sox trainers to play catch on Monday.
He's been suffering from soreness in his wrist, and hasn't thrown since surrendering a grand slam to Baltimore's Jay Payton last Wednesday. Okajima was throwing from 60 feet with some "zip" on his tosses, and could be available tonight in his familiar set-up role.
