Id just fix it, no penalty.

I try to make sure everyone in my league has fun. As Commish if I came off like Stalin I wouldnt have the same 10 cool guys wanting to play every year.

No need to punish the guy, he told you what happened within minutes of the drop and his story makes sense. Remember youre not Bud Selig, youre a dude running a fantasy league.

This has happened in one of my leagues. The waiver penalty is the way to go.

I think you and your league are being totally ridiculous. It was obviously a simple error that he immediately pointed out. What is the point of penalizing him at all? Did he somehow get an unfair advantage? He made a simple computer error and that's all. Fix it and move on. I'd be pissed if I was penalized for such a simple mistake that in no way harms anyone in the league. I think you guys are being really petty.

Give the player back with no penalty..THIS TIME.

Note that it is being done on the league message board as well.

If it happens again the owner is on notice and will have to waiver the guy back if he can get him back that way. The fact that he posted and contacted you immediately after the drop is the clincher.

I saw penalize him one start. The stats for Sheets next start dont count, but he still gets to keep him and his waiver spot.

Sometimes you have to be stern AND come across like Stalin, but not for a simple error like this. Everyone is entitled to a mulligan for sure. If it happens again and again, then you'd have reason to take action, but too err is human ya know. :-)

Its was an obvious mistake so I would reverse the transaction w/o penalty

I did that this season, I accidentally dropped Shane Victorino. I immediately messaged everyone in the league, put in a waiver claim, asked the commish to edit my roster, and recieved no response. Another manager won him off waivers, and I, being desperate for steals, had to trade Joe Mauer for him. I was pissed. (and still am).
