Ease up there Hoss, I was just commenting on the numbers you put up there. If you want some commentary on more useful stats like ERA and WHIP, put those in a post instead.

Honestly though, I've never been huge on Gio's numbers even in the minors. He always seemed like a 2nd tier pitching prospect... His K's are nice, but he just gives up too many runs for my liking.

IMO, Gio will be excellent, but won't be great in the majors for another two to three years or so. He'll be the Marcum/ James Shields of 2011. And that's a long way off.

He may not have the control necessary to make it, though.

He's had starts like this before. What I want to see is some better consistency - can he go more than 1 month w/o getting blown out?
