Worried about Bedard??

Postby DetroitTigers » Fri May 16, 2008 11:57 am

he was the first pitcher i took in my draft this year, but he's not pitching like a tier 1 pitcher. Should i try to get some value for him in a trade or be patient?? The offense behind him isn't scaring anyone either so i think he will continue to struggle to get wins....

I feel like he's pitched fairly well this year, he just got rocked in his last start. I'm not really sure why you're panicking. He can pitch better than he is right now (some more Ks maybe), but he's still putting up AllStar numbers minus his most recent start.

He had an ERA well under 3 before his last start. The only way you're worried at this point is if you panic way too easily. He could struggle to get wins if Seattle's offense continues to suck, but beyond that as long as he's healthy you shouldn't be worried.

Way to early to deal. I'm still holding on to Andruw "I just hit my second homer of the year" Jones.
I gruntle the disgruntled.
