santiago casilla is injured

Postby zoolander12 » Thu May 15, 2008 4:14 pm

He left the game with right arm injury, right after he surrendered a home run, does anyone have more update on the nature of this injury?

nothing solid yet, as far as medical opinions...

but he threw one pitch, which went about 370ft the wrong direction, and was shaking out his arm after that. they just came out and got him. It didn't look like he was in alot of pain...

I haven't heard an update yet, but it's never a good thing when you get hauled off the mound after one pitch.

Casilla is feeling better today but says something is in there. Tests will be done soon, today.

I picked him up on Tuesday to help improve my team ERA. It would be pretty ironic if he left my team after posting a lovely era of... "INF" haha

I stumbled onto aan A's blog that said it looked bad. So I dropped him for Blain Boyer.

MRs are almost a dime a dozen if you look at the right numbers.

So I'm guessing ERA isn't one of the right numbers, huh?
0.93 vs 4.18 ain't the same ballpark, it ain't the same league, it ain't even the same sport.*

from yahoo May 16 Casilla, who left Thursday's game with an elbow injury, will be reevaluated on Friday according to the team's web site.
Recommendation: "It doesn't feel too good right now," Casilla said. "Something in my elbow." There's virtually no chance that he'll be able to pitch over the weekend in Atlanta, so those in daily leagues will want to find a replacement.[b]

You have a small problem with not being able to see the real picture, I guess.

Boyer has 22 appearances and has given up 11 ER. That doesn't look good but consider that 9 of the runs came in three of the appearances. Once you consider that you can type an apology. :-P

Batters are hitting .209 off Blaine who also has an ungodly ground-out ratio.
