Just for discussion, but I started thinking about Rich Harden and how he comes back, pitches well, then lands on the DL all within 2 weeks. (Same goes for Prior, just longer periods of time on the DL and less impressive pitching when he is healthy). I was just curious, how does a guy like Harden and Prior stay focused enough/motivated enough to keep on moving foward and continuing their careers in baseball. I just do not see how they do it.

They get paid huge sums of money based on potential and enjoy the game of baseball. It's not too hard.

How can you enjoy what you do if you do not participate in it?

If there were no such thing as fantasy baseball or fantasy football I would still enjoy watching and following the games. I assume it's on the same principle, with some added frustration of being hurt.
