Yeah I nabbed him in the 14th round in my draft and he has been great!

Someone in my league dropped him early in the season and I picked him up to replace Posada. It feels like he's going to have a Russel Martin-esque season in which he's a late pick that'll end up top 3 in his position.

I think Morneau for McCann is a great deal for you. Soto just keeps on keepin on. Don't be surprised if his numbers tail off at the end of the year though. A lot of catchers wear out as the year goes on, but especially young ones that aren't used to the long season. Soto is legit though!! Plus Lou has done a good job, IMO, of giving him time off. He gets at least a day off a week, plus he's been sitting him down quite often in blowouts as well.

Another dinger for Soto today. Ended the day 2 for 3. I still can't believe I got this guy for $6 during my draft.

I think VMart would be a better comparison, with a little more power. Russ is more of a #2 hitter type with good OBP and speed, while Soto and VMart are the classic power catchers. I think Soto's BA will regress a bit but the power is for real. He'll end up with 28-33 HR and about a .285 BA. And that's in his rookie season! This time next year, he might be the top catcher in baseball!

Anyone get the feeling that Mauer has been basically invisible this year?

Dude, Soto is my new hero...like, the man can do no wrong. The next Mike Piazza, except with more speed, an arm and defensive capabilities?
