The Ultimate Dissapointment?

Postby sanfranbums » Wed May 14, 2008 12:09 am

Corey Hart. This guy was supposed to be 25 25 threat coming into the year and now he looks like a Randy Winn. I took this guy in the 7th round in my league and I am so frustrated with him. I am trying to trade him for anything that I can get because I can pick up Randy Winn who has basically the same numbers and value as Hart. What should I do? Hart - 16 runs 1 homerun 18 rbi 4 sb .304, Winn - 15 runs 1 homerun 12 rbi 6 sb .287. Hart's swing does not look the same as it did last year and I think the beard he is growing is wearing him down at the plate.

That's probably the reason. He looks like Emil hirsch's character in "Into the Wild" too much.

Yes, it is extremely heavy and pulls his eyes away from the ball when hitting.
Watch him, by his 4th at-bat he is rubbing deep heat into his neck.
Ned Yost has tried talking to Hart about it, but the powerful beard lobby has got in his ear.

you think the beard he is growing is wearing him down at the plate? I think so to. ;-7 BTW, getting Hart in the 7th round was a pretty good deal. But he's probably going to be terrible all year, and you should probably try to trade him for like Moises Alou... I hear he's really about to be on the upswing. Or a bag of balls. Too bad you don't have Prince Fielder as well, then you could really be experiencing dissapointment. To get a taste of it, you should check out the "fat vegetarian" rant in the Game Commentary/Cheering/Venting Forum...i think you would like that. }:-)

Go ahead and trade him. You'll regret it when he starts hitting for more power (he will) and the rest of the team starts hitting too. Hart is batting .304. It's not like he sucks. He picked it up in the 2nd half last year. If the rest of his team gets it going (Braun is beginning to), then he'll only get better.
